Nata 2022 2nd phase : exam Preparation strategies & How to download hall ticket


The Council of Architecture (CoA) will release the NATA 2022 admit card phase 2 today, July 4. The NATA admit card 2022 download date is available at nata.in. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of NATA 2022 using their application number and password. The phase 2 of NATA 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on July 7

The NATA phase 2 and phase 3 exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 7 and August 7, 2022 respectively. The NATA 2022 admit card will be released separately for all the attempts.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture


NATA measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study. It conduct every year for the admission to 5-year BArch and BPlanning programmes. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of NATA exam will be eligible for admissions in NATA participating institutes.

Steps to download NATA admit card 2022

  • Visit the NATA 2022 official website at nata.in 
  • Click on to NATA login 
  • Login using the NATA 2022 application number and password 
  • Click on the ‘NATA admit card’ link 
  • NATA 2022 hall ticket shall appear on the screen 
  • Download the same and take a print out for future reference

Candidates are advised to take a printout of their admit cards to carry with them to their respective exam centres. Candidates who fail to carry their admit cards will not be allowed to enter the exam hall and write the NATA exam.

Candidates who appeared for the Phase 1 exam can also appear for the Phase 2 exam if they have registered for the same. As per the calendar issued by COA, the NATA results for the Phase 2 exam are expected to be declared on July 15, 2022. This year, COA has allowed a total of 3 attempts for the NATA exam. The July 7 exam would be the 2nd attempt.

NATA exam analysis 

New topics have asked from the physics subject. Students are required to learn topics like Units and measurements, concepts around earth,physical quantities, light and reflections,laws of motions and air to air resistance etc.

The exam pattern has given importance to the architecture aptitude as well. There are few areas like recent monuments/ bridges, padmanabhuram palace, civilisations and their origin/ scriptures etc (Indus valley, Mesopotamia, Chinese,Egyptian etc), dimensions of A4 and others,  awards like RIBA, AGA etc . The aspirants must understand the new trend in the exams and should plan it accordingly.

Students are advised to have the habit of reading news papers. General knowledge possibly need a awareness about what’s happening around us. 

Mostly GK is related to India (good governance, recent awareness programs regarding LGBTQ/plastic polution/ gender inequality etc etc), recent monuments/ buildings/ bridges, architecture schools in India (oldest asked)

Some areas for the exam , come from Earth related topics. Earth summit, tectonic plates and changes occured in its movements, Flags furniture (pantone chair) etc 

Preparation Strategies 

  • Must have clear understanding about the syllabus 
  • Requires clear learning practices about previous year question paper 
  • Proper study plans 
  • Systematic revision
